Elusion of transcoding operations in a communication network.

2003
A method to start the jump or avoidance of a pair of operations transcoding carried out in series through a first trans-coder, arranged together with a first communication terminal on a local side of a communication network and by a second trans-coder, arranged together with a second communication terminal on a distant network communication side, the method characterized by comprising receiving from the distant side, in a first initial request to bypass or bypass operations being transcoding, information about an encoding format being used at that time on the far side, about encoding capabilities of the distant side, and about a version of a bypassing protocol that provides support distally, and transmitting to the remote side in a second initial request to bypass transcoding operations, information about a trained encoding is being used at that time on the local side, about encoding capabilities of the local side and about a version of a bypassing protocol it supports the local side, and initiate an immediate optimization format encoding only if the local version and the remote version equal or exceed a specific version to allow, on one or both sides, a change of communication format being used at that time, before starting the avoidance operations trans-coding.
