CONTEXT FOR KNOWLEDGE SHARING IN NETWORKED COMMUNITIES: A CONCEPTUAL MODEL.

This study explores the proximal context of knowledge sharing in networked communities, and identifies relationships among variables in shaping knowledge sharing behaviors. Taking an integrative perspective, this study reviews the literature on community of practice research, and provides a conceptual framework for knowledge sharing. Implications for researchers and practitioners along with future research areas are also discussed.
