Selfconsistent electrostatic field induced by TTMP

From 3rd international symposium on toroidal plasma confinement; Garching, Germany (26 Mar 1973). The self-consistent electrostatic field component which insures plasma charge neutrality in Transit Time Magnetic Pumping in the small-collision-frequency limit is calculated for arbitrary temperatures and phase velocities. The usual collisionless linear theory of TTMP is valid when the Coulomb collision frequency is smaller than the pumping frequency. (GE)
