Style Translation for Line Drawings Based on Mesh and Evolution

2009
This paper presents a new method to translate style of line drawings. Based on the theory of shape evolution, we translated the style of line drawings by transforming the control points of each stroke and deforming the mesh of the position-feature points of all strokes in a drawing. In this way, we adjusted the appearance and arrangement of strokes and obtained different styles of the drawing. Compared to previous work, the style of line drawings is considered not only the geometric attributes of each stroke but also distribution and arrangement of all stokes. Some examples are illustrated in the end of the paper to demonstrate our method.
