Effect of Bone Morphogenetic Protein 7 in Renal Development and Protection

Bone Morphogenetic Protein 7(BMP7)is a member of transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)superfamily,which controls organogenesis,cell proliferation,differentiation and apoptosis and especially has great significance in maintaining the normal structure and function of kidney.This article reviews BMP-7 about its structure,signal transduction mechanism and its effect and possible mechanism.in renal development and protection.
