The coatings for a solar-rejected window of the Infrared Horizon Sensor

2020
Abstract Visible-near infrared/long-wave infrared dichroic coating and broad-band long-wave anti-reflection(AR) coating used for a solar-rejected window are designed, fabricated, and tested to ensure the efficiency of the optical system working in the spectral range 13-16.5μm and to block off over 90% of the solar radiation from 0.4- 1.3μm. A wide reflection band with ZnS and YbF3 was realized by using a five-symmetrical-periodic-structure design. The coated samples can endure the adhesion and environmental tests.
