Effects of sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome on 25 hydroxy vitamin D3 in non-elderly patients with type 2 diabetes
2017
Objective
Discuss the association between 25 hydroxy vitamin D3 [25(OH)D3] and obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) in non-elderly patients with type 2 diabetes.
Methods
According to the level of AHI, 158 patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into four groups: the simple diabetes group (T2DM group, 38 cases), OSAHS mild group (OM-A group, 38 cases), OSAHS moderate group (OM-B group, 46 cases) and OSAHS severe group (OM-C group, 36 cases), difference and correlation in clinical data and 25(OH)D3 were compared.
Results
HOMA-IR for T2DM group was significantly lower than the OM-B and OM-C groups, and the difference was statistically significant (F=18.24, P<0.05). Between the OM-C group and the T2DM group, there was significant difference in course of TG (F=40.18, P<0.05). Between the four groups, there was significant difference in course of 2hPG, 25(OH)D3 and SaO2min (F=29.54, 32.16, 24.27, P<0.05). Correlation analysis shows 25(OH)D3 were negative correlated with AHI, 2hPG (P<0.05), 25(OH)D3 was positively correlated with SaO2min (P<0.05).
Conclusions
25(OH)D3 is related significantly to OSAHS in patients with type 2 diabetes.
