Three dimensional flow around a cylinder settled vertically in a parallel channel was visualized by a 'Pearl pigment' method. Horseshoe-vortexes in front of the cylinder and alternating vortexes downstream the cylinder were observed. The temperature distributions around the cylinder were visualized by using a thermosensitive liquid crystal layer painted on the heat transfer plane of the channel.
