The Devereux Suite: Assessing and Promoting Resilience in Children Ages 1 Month to 14 Years

2013
The concept of resilience has been gaining prominence in research, policy and practice. As but one example, social and emotional competence, an important protective factor contributing to resilience, is increasingly being written into educational standards in the United States. The growing recognition of the importance of resilience has created a need for practical, high-quality assessments that can assist professionals in identifying an individual's social and emotional strengths and needs, inform intervention, and measure outcomes. The Devereux Suite of Assessments has been developed to assess social and emotional competencies related to resilience in children from one month to 14 years of age.
