Películas pasivantes protectora de óxido/carbonato de cinc en la zona splash de estructuras metálicas de acero al carbón Protective films passivating oxide / zinc carbonate in the splash zone of metal structures of carbon steel
2013
Passivators Films with zinctape ® were induced on carbon steel spring structures exposed to differential aeration and saline environment, the release arm with high mechanical wear and bearing pilings, were cleaned with high ultra-pressure, the pieces were peelable performed canes (caps) to reconstruct the lost areas. The columns were then zinctape ® protected, from splash zone upwards with a zinc tape width 100 mm, thickness 0.08 mm, Cinc layer, electro-conductive adhesive thickness of 0.025 mm. Same system was enabled impressed current cathodic protection. The structures were rehabilitated by 100%, for joint action of the two protection methods. One chemical method induces the tape forming a thin, durable, compact and stable (insoluble in water) carbonate. And other physic-chemical, method as impressed current. This methodology is environmentally friendly and economically profitable with a minimum duration of 10 years guaranteed.
