The effect of nearest-neighbour and next-nearest-neighbour lateral interactions on thermal desorption spectra

Abstract The effect of lateral interactions between adsorbed particles on thermal desorption spectra is analyzed using the transfer-matrix technique. The results are compared with thermal desorption spectra calcualted by other analytical approaches (the quasi-chemical and mean-field approximations) and by the Monte Carlo method.
