A novel 3-bit coding Metasurface with Ultrathin thickness and broad band features for controlling the transmitted waves in K-band

We propose, a new transmission type coding metasurface with 3-bit coding resolution having the features of ultrathin thickness high efficiency and broad band of operation. Various full structures are designed based on the distribution of the designed coding particles in the 2-D spatial plane. Vortex beams generation and beam shaping functionalities are demonstrated from the designed structures with high efficiency and in broadband frequency spectrum of K-band. All the simulation results have excellent agreement with their theoretical counterparts. We are confident that the proposed ideas and designs can find potential applications in low profile transmission type optical devices.
