A food scene of an input image can be effectively identified so that a processing effect of the input image of the food scene can be increased. The image processing method comprises the following steps of inputting a colorful input image including a YUV component; detecting whether an object with a stipulated shape exists in the colorful input image; when the object with the stipulated shape exists, based on a position of the object with the stipulated shape, determining an analysis area in the colorful input image; and determining whether a U component value and a V component value corresponding to a pixel in the analysis area satisfy a prescribed condition, and under the condition that the prescribed condition is satisfied, identifying the scene of the colorful input image to be the food scene.
