Determination methods for metrological parameters of electrophysical devices built into systems

1987
Methods are proposed for determining the effects of external factors on built-in means of measurement, and on metrological parameters such as error and calibration. Parameter variation limits for electrophysical components were studied using the example of relative-vibration measurement on working turbines under extreme conditions. Causes of errors for eddy current displacement sensors were specifically considered and included changes in properties of the target metal, variations in the gap between sensor and target, composition effects, and local environmental conditions such as electric and magnetic fields and temperature. Metal-property drift in chromium-molybdenum steels commonly used in turbines was discussed as an example.
