The invention discloses a low-melting-point glass fiber reinforced inflaming retarding PET resin composition and a preparation method thereof. The composition is prepared from 9.4-81.4 parts of low-melting-point PET resin, 0-15 parts of flexibilizer, 10-20 parts of bromine-containing fire retardant, 3-5 parts of flame retardant synergist, 5-50 parts of glass fibers and 0.6 part of antioxygen. The low-melting-point PET resin is special PET resin with the melting point ranging from 190 DEG C tot 230 DEG C; the flexibilizer is at least one of ethylene-vinyl acetate, ethylene-methyl acrylate, ethylene-ethyl acrylate, ethylene-butyl acrylate, low density polyethylene, a maleic anhydride grafted ethylene-octylene copolymer, an ethylene-ethyl acrylate-glycidyl ester copolymer and an ethylene-butyl acrylate-glycidyl ester copolymer. The bromine-containing fire retardant is at least one of brominated polystyrene, decabromodiphenyl ethane, bromide polycarbonate, brominated epoxy and the like. The variety and use mount of the low-melting-point PET resin, the flexibilizer and the fire retardant are optimized, and the prepared low-melting-point glass fiber reinforced inflaming retarding PET resin composition has the advantages of being low in melting point, high in toughness and the like and can be widely applied to injection molding products.
