전시컨벤션센터의 공유가치창출(CSV)에 관한 탐색적 연구

2017
As a new conception of capitalism, CSV(creating shared value) which pursue the social value(public interests) and economic value(profitability) simultaneously, has gained a lot of attention from the business and academia. The MICE industry, which is known as a complex and convergence industry with a combination of wide variety of closely related independent industries, is no exception. Several exhibition & convention centers in Korea see CSV as an opportunity for differentiation and try to adopt it. However, it seems that there is no clear definition and guideline of CSV and they still see CSV as merely a new program of existing CSR activities. This study aimed to define the concept of CSV in the context of the MICE industry and to seek and examine the applicability of CSV within the industry. In-depth interviews of field experts and academics were conducted to do that. Through the interviews, this study identified core competencies of exhibition & convention center and their related social needs, and suggested 26 CSV business models. This study concludes by analysing 26 suggested business models using the three criteria namely ‘means’, ‘resulting outcomes’, and ‘beneficiaries’ of CSV.
