Preparation and optical absorption peak of small metal particles dispersed in oil

1996
Abstract Small silver and copper particles respectively dispersed in silicon oil were well prepared by a developed vacuum evaporation on running liquid technique. The optical absorption peak resulting from the surface plasmon of the small silver and copper particles was observed, along with its position shifts to shorter wavelengths with decreasing particle size of silver.
