EFFECT OF SOL-GEL (E102) DYE SPIN-COATING ON THE OPTICAL OF (20 MgO: 80 ZnO) NANOPARTICLES FOR SOLAR CELL APPLICATIONS

2017
The increasing demand for energy led to the need to exploit clean, renewable, environmentally friendly and low cost energy sources, while solar energy is the most abundant source.  In this work, the sol gel spin-coating of (E102) dye for preparation sensitized solar cell are initiate when (E102) dye slowly gets incorporated into the magnesium zinc network. The effects of (E102) dye on the  structural and optical properties of the prepared thin film nano-composites  have  been  analyzed  by  X-ray  diffractometer  (XRD),  high resolution -scanning electron microscopy(HR-SEM) and UV-Vis  spectrophotometer. UV–Vis spectroscopy has confirmed the intrinsic properties of the resulted sol gel metal oxides, calcined at 450 o C for 2hr in air. The homogeneous and uniformed nanosized magnesium: zinc thin films doped with (E102) dye were obtained with particle size nearly 11 nm and the band gap was in the range 2.32 to 3.1 eV.
