Monte Carlo studies of critical phenomena in mixed spin-1 and spin-3/2 Blume-Capel Ising model on simple cubic lattice
2006
Monte Carlo simulation has been used to study critical behavior of the mixed spin-1 and spin-3/2 Blume-Capel Ising model on simple lattice. The dependence of the phase diagram oil single-ion anisotropy strength is studied. The first-order transitions, terminating at a critical end point, is estimated to survive when the crystal-field oil the spin-3/2 sublattice is little smaller than 0.5. The results are different from those previously predicted by pair approximation. (c) 2005 Published by Elsevier B.V.
