This article, reflective nature, seeks to identify / describe the subject of continuing education in school by examining the constitution of individual and collective teacher identity. From the cultural studies approach, this text discusses the subject of ongoing training in service, at school, starting with an analysis of the concepts of self, identity and subjectivity. These analyzes are highlighted from authors such as Stuart Hall, Maurice Tardif, Novoa Antonio, among others. In this sense, think continuing education held in service, at school, taking into account such concepts, implies understand this space as a space for participation, dialogue and building highly involved in the formation of individual and collective identities, aiming at the development of professionalization.
