COMPREENDER PARA SERVIR: experiências da pesquisa participante no trabalho de campo em comunidades rurais do Vale do Jequitinhonha, Minas Gerais – Brazil

O presente texto tem como objetivo discutir a importância do trabalho de campo para alem do mero ato de investigacao, considerando a pesquisa participante como uma oportunidade de ressignificar as nossas visoes do “outro”, refletir sobre a nossa postura perante as comunidades e, especialmente, sobre a responsabilidade de divulgar os resultados de nossas pesquisas. Os trabalhos de campo que deram origem a este texto foram realizados em comunidades quilombolas do Vale do Jequitinhonha-MG, quando tivemos a oportunidade de experimentar parte da vida dos individuos pesquisados, conhecendo melhor sua cultura e dialogando com suas familias sobre as historias do lugar. Sendo resultado de trabalhos de campo feito por dois pesquisadores, este texto traz visoes diferentes sobre a mesma realidade, demonstrando as suas impressoes sobre os locais pesquisados, sua gente e cultura e, em especial, sobre a ciencia pensada e praticada por ambos. As discussoes aqui realizadas remetem ao formato de um “ensaio dialogico”, que condensa quatro partes escritas em conjunto e outras duas individualmente. A partir das reflexoes feitas, esperamos contribuir no debate sobre a importância da pesquisa participativa na realizacao dos trabalhos de campo, na formacao de pesquisadores e, principalmente, a construcao de uma ciencia que tem por objetivo orientador a producao de conhecimentos que possibilitem aos individuos pesquisados obter ferramentas para poder mudar o seu meio e valorizar sua cultura, historia e lugar. UNDERSTANDING TO COLABORATE: participant research experience in fieldwork in rural communities in the Jequitinhonha Valley, Minas Gerais – Brazil Abstract This paper aims to discuss the importance of fieldwork beyond mere investigative act, considering this practical research as an opportunity of resignifying our visions towards the “other”, reflect about our posture before the community and specially about the responsibility of disclosing the results of our research. The fieldwork that gave source to theses reflections were performed in quilombola communities from Vale do Jequitinhonha of Minas Gerais, when we had the opportunity of experiencing part  of the day life of the individuals  researched, knowing better their culture and dialoging with  their families about the stories from the place. Being a result of fieldwork made buy two researchers, this text brings different views about the same reality, demonstrating their impressions about the places researched, their people and culture, and overall, about the science idealized and practiced. In fact, the discussions dealt here remit the format of a “dialogical essay” that condenses four parts written together and others individually. From the reflections made, we hope contributing the debate about the importance of participative research in performing fieldwork, in forming of researchers and, mainly, constructing a science that has the guiding goal of producing knowledge that enables the researched individuals having tools to power changing their lives and valorize their culture, history and place.
