Method for preventing overhead insulated wire from being burned through

The invention provides a method for preventing an overhead insulated wire from being burned through. The method comprises the steps that 1 a burning-through equivalent circuit of an overhead insulated wire is established; 2 parameters of the burning-through equivalent circuit are calculated; 3 a protective measure is established, wherein according to the protective measure, a metal connecting piece is additionally arranged above an insulator to be used for connecting a wire core of the overhead insulated wire and the insulator. According to the method, by establishing the equivalent circuit of the overhead insulated wire, the burning-through cause and the fault mechanism are obtained so as to provide the protective measure, and therefore burning-through of the overhead insulated wire is effectively prevented.
