Data qualification statements as a new paradigm for data management

The goal of this paper is to present and illustrate an approach whereby quality assurance activities associated with the production of data sets are translated to information that is useful to data analysts. A data qualification statement is derived from the quality control test data, the calibration data, the completeness statistics and information provided by auditors.
