Building Narratives for Exceptional Customized Executive Programs

The arduous task of designing executive programs, especially those tailored for individual client firms, includes integrating various curriculum elements and other components into a holistic program design that delivers both impact and experience. This paper analyzes the design processes and key design elements of three exceptionally well designed customized executive programs. We show how a narrative emerges for each program through the program design choices that are made. Our findings offer new insights into the success drivers of customized executive programs and provide practical recommendations for designing executive education curricula and programs.
