Estimating of non-point source pollutants load in runoff at small site

Based on the geomorphologic features and land use, the universal soil loss equation (USLE) and simple method were used to calculate and estimate the non-point source pollution from Nanchang University campus separately. The results show: the amount of soil erosion is 1352.161t/yr, the quantity of silt entering the lake is 270t/yr, and the chemical loads of TSS, TP, TN were 115.17t/yr, 0.27 t/yr, 1.25 t/yr for roads, and 61.36 t/yr, 0.64 t/yr, 4.55 t/yr for grassed land separately. Filed monitoring and analysis shows, paved roads are the major source of non-point source pollution.
