CT and MRI advance in the pancreatic fat quantification

Recently,more and more studies confirm that pancreatic fat infiltration is related to the obesity,high blood pressure,diabetes,hyperlipoidemia,pancreatic cancer,lymphatic metastasis,and postoperative pancreatic fistula.The pan-creatic fat quantification has important clinical value in the prevention,early diagnosis,treatment,therapeutic evaluation,and prognostic evaluation of the related diseases.CT and MRI are the accurate,safe and quick methods to diagnose and quantify pancreatic fat infiltration in adults and children.In this paper we reviewed the CT and MRI advance of pancreatic fat quan-tification and imaging diagnosis of pancreatic fat infiltration.
