GIS 기법을 이용한 대규모 매립지반의 장기침하 예측

The Incheon International Airport located at the YoungJong island in Korea was opened on March 29, 2001, pursuing a hub port of the northeast Asia. Since the Incheon International Airport was originally constructed on a reclaimed soft land, the control of future settlements is an important matter for a safe maintenance of the major infra-facilities. For a proper control of future settlements over the area of Incheon International Airport, a great deal of information on subsoil properties relevant to the consolidation may be necessary. This process however, continuously requires lots of the field and laboratory investigations. Actually, this is not practical from viewpoints in both expenses and time. In this study, introducing a new approach method using GIS for the effective management of the long-tenn settlement in the big reclamation site to offer the practical basic materials for the future-developed reclamation project. Also, arranging the measured settlement from the first stage operation to the present in the incheon international airport using GIS, as a result of settlement analysis, the long-tenn settlemet is 1㎝ below.
