Kualitas Hidup Anak Yang Menderita Thalassemia (Quality of Life Child withThalassemia)

ABSTRACT Thallassemia is a hemathology disorder and chronic disease. The numbers of thalassemia in Indonesia has been increased every year about 2500 patients. The objective of this research is to describe factors related to quality of life of school age children with thalassemia. It used Cross Sectional study design, which aimed to get description of relationship between independent and dependent variable. The sampling method used Randomise Sampling from the population of school age children with 16 Thalassemia including their families, who came to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital. Data analysis used Univariate Bivariate and Multivariate. The result founded that the most contributing factors to the quality of life of school age children with thalassemia was family attitude in caring their children. The implication from this research was the important of health education given to the family to influence the family attitude become more positive in caring their children, so it could increase the quality of the children's life .
