Assembly type multi-way connector

PURPOSE: To improve the strength of a connector and facilitate combination by eliminating a partition wall between units. CONSTITUTION: At the time of assembling the units 10, 30, a cover of the unit 30 is removed from a main body 31. The side walls of both units are made to come in contact oppositely and the shoulder part 34a of a side wall groove of the unit 30 is fitted from the leading-out side of a wire of the unit 10 into a side wall groove 14, and simultaneously a projection strip 15 is fitted into a groove 35 of the unit 30. When the units 10 and 30 are moved in the reciprocal slid-in directions, a cover 19 fitted to the unit 10 comes to contact to the tip of a groove shoulder 34a of a side wall formed on the unit 30 so as to be pressed to the connector front. A projection 21 for its locking is removed from a lock hole 16 of a body 11 and the cover 19 is slid on the slide groove 14 for being removed from the body 11 with the progress of movement. When the cover 19 is pushed out from the side wall groove 14 so as to fall off from the unit 10, combination of the units 10 and 30 is completed. COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
