Centrifugal waterflood pump wear ring metallurgy

One of the major operating expenses of a water-injection facility is pump repair. A primary cause for frequent multistage centrifugal waterflood pump repair is impeller wear ring failure. The authors' experience in analyzing and solving wear ring failure problems is the subject of this study.
