The Investigation with Remote Sensing on Mining Development Occupied Land in Tangshan City and Surrounding Region

The authors obtain spatial database of mineral resource exploitation using the SPOT-5 high resolution images as information resource and classify the land use using the ETM+ middle resolution image as information resource,then verify the results by the wild and topologically analyze the two results by means of the GIS.The situation of occupied land by mining exploitation in Tangshan city and surrounding regions is investigated.The result shows that,the mineral resource exploitation takes up 6 978.524 hm2,there are 5 015.139 hm2 farming land,889.345 hm2 construction land,and 1 074.04 hm2 unused land,which account for 71.8%,12.7% and 15.5% of the total land respectively.
