An efficient transceiver optimization based routing technique for wireless sensor network

2016
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) has attained significant growth in recent times due to availability of tiny and low cost sensor devices that comprises of resource constrained devices. These devices which are battery powered are placed in non-rechargeable geographically location as a result preserving energy is one crucial factor in designing an efficient sensor network. Many clustering techniques have been developed in recent times to improve the lifetime of sensor network. These techniques are not efficient since the energy of nodes closer to sink/cluster head degrades significantly. To address aforementioned issues this work presents a Transceiver Optimization based Hop Selection model. Experiment is conducted in terms of energy efficiency and lifetime of sensor network for homogeneous cluster network for various node sizes and is compared with protocol. The outcomes show significant performance improvement over in terms of energy efficiency and lifetime of sensor network.
