A predictive methodology for non-critical load scheduling in autonomous micro-grid

2017
The power balance achievement in the autonomous micro-grid is a mandatory case which is always required reliable solutions. As the power disparity in the micro-grid is related to both generation and demand sides, the centralized control methodology is the proper way to achieve the power balance with respect to both sides. In this paper, a centralized based predictive methodology for non-critical load scheduling has been proposed. The proposed method has utilized to achieve the power balance and avoid the occurrence of peak demand during the diminution of renewable energy production. Furthermore, the method attends to obtain the maximum exploitation of the energy stored in the battery by the aid of generation prediction and load forecasting. Therefore, the need of running the conventional generator has been mitigated. The related results have clarified the validity of the proposed scheduling method to reduce the operation time for the diesel generator to the least possible time.
