Light wave guide with rounded surface of reflection mirror and manufacturing method thereof

An optical waveguide having a curved reflecting mirror surface and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to simply produce an optical waveguide having various curved reflecting mirror surfaces including a two-dimensional or three-dimensional curved surface, at low cost by using an inkjet method. An optical waveguide(40) is composed of a glass substrate(41) on which the optical waveguide is stacked; a clad layer(42) formed on the substrate; a core layer formed on the clad layer to transmit the light; a partition block(46) extended at the end of the optical waveguide; and a curved reflecting mirror surface having an oval shape and formed in the partition block to change an optical path toward a core by reflecting the light. The oval mirror surface is formed by dropping liquid polymer on the partition block through an inkjet header and then solidifying the liquid polymer.
