Syntheses of the hydroxy compounds (Ib), (Ic), (Ie) and the N-oxide (Va) [possible hydroxylase metabolites of (Ia)] from the corresponding (II) and (III) are reponed [(Ie) can only be obtained via the methyl ether (Id)].
