The present status of sewage sludge's treatment and utilization in China was summarized.According to the character of sewage sludge and several different methods of treatment,the traits of sludge treatment and its problems were discussed.To satisfy the requirement of circumstance protection,the appropriate and newest way was explained,which was sewage sludge incineration.Then the status of sewage sludge incineration and its problems were discussed.The sewage sludge incineration is the direction of development of sewage sludge's treatment and utilization,and it accords with the decreasing-capability,stabilization,harmlessness and being-resource of sewage sludge.
