CNC Turning Process Parameters Optimization for Stainless Steel

The objective of the present paper is to find out the optimum process parameters for CNC turning of AISI 304 stainless steel using ANOVA approach. Twenty-seven CNC turning experiments were conducted on work material using Taguchi’s orthogonal array. Proposed optimization techniques revealed that feed is significant parameters in optimization of surface roughness during CNC turning of AISI 304 stainless steel. The result of Taguchi method is validated using ANOVA approach.
