To Calculate the Deformation of Great Flexibility of Slender Long Overhanging Beams Allowing for Friction

In the designing of street sprinkler sweepers, there exists the deformation of great flexibility of slender overhanging beams when it is loaded with concentrated load. This article uses the numerical integration to calculate the deformation. It puts forward the calculating methods of the maximum bending torque that the beam can accept allowing for friction. And it also analyzes the effect that friction has on the flexibility of slender overhanging beams, which offers the base for checking the strength of the beam.
