Follistatin: A Potential Anabolic Treatment for Re-Innervated Muscle

Abstract : Follistatin is a possible anabolic treatment for denervation atrophy induced muscle weakness following prolonged denervation.Adenovirus delivery of Recombinant FS-288 DNA isoform does not induce hypertrophy in normal rodent gastrocnemius muscle. The efficacy of Adenoassociated virus delivery of FS-288 DNA or direct delivery of recombinant FS-288 protein is currently not known.
