Studies on Chemical Constituents from Cremastra appendiculata

The compounds were separated by HPLC or column chromatography with silica gel,and Sephadex LH-20,and identified by spectral analysis respectively.The results show that four compounds were isolated from the ethanol extract of the tubers of Cremastra appendiculata.Their structures were determined as 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(Ⅰ);3′,5′,3″-trihydroxybibenzyl(Ⅱ);3,3′-dihydroxy-2(p-hydroxybenzyl)-5-methoxybibenzyl(Ⅲ);3′,5-dihydroxy-2-(p-hydroxybenzyl)-3-methoxybibenzyl(Ⅳ).Four compounds were isolated from tubers of Cremastra appendiculata for the first time.
