The invention relates to nanometer modified asphalt micro-emulsion and a preparation method thereof, belonging to the technical field of high polymer materials. The preparation method of the nanometer modified asphalt micro-emulsion is characterized by comprising the step of preparing the nanometer emulsified SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene) modified asphalt with uniform particle size distribution and size less than 150 nm by utilizing actions like dispersion and emulsification of ultrasonic waves in the presence of an anionic emulsifier, a non-ionic emulsifier and a coemulsifier. The nanometer modified asphalt micro-emulsion has the advantages of small particle size and uniform distribution of the particles, difficult agglomeration of particles and good long-term storage stability, and overcomes the disadvantage of insufficient long-term storage stability of the traditional emulsified asphalt. The preparation method disclosed by the invention has the advantages of high efficiency, convenience in operation and wide application range. The asphalt particles are dispersed uniformly as well as small in particle size and have good stability. In addition, due to the special particle effect of the nanometer particles, agglomeration and coagulation of the asphalt particles can be prevented efficiently, and adhesive attraction of the asphalt emulsion particles and non-asphalt substances can be developed better.
