Valve insert (1) for arranging in an opening (2 ') of a container (2), wherein the valve insert (1) having a plug body (10) having at least two axial bores to provide flow paths into and out of the container (2), wherein each flow path can be opened by means of an operable spring-loaded valve and is closable, wherein a first of the axial bores is arranged centrally and between an upper bore portion (15) and a therewith aligned lower bore portion (17) has a durchmesserverengten portion (17a) and a lower bore portion (17) limiting shoulder (17b), wherein at the upper bore portion (15) receiving an enlarged diameter bore (13) connects, which extends to one end face (10 ') of the plug body (10), wherein the plug body (10) having a first radial bore (14) which opens into the receiving bore (13), and axially at a distance therefrom a second radial bore (16), which opens into the upper bore portion (15), and wherein the valve insert (1) is a cooperating valve combination of a first valve having a first valve seat (15a) formed in the upper bore portion (15) between the receiving bore (13) and the junction of the second radial bore (16), and a second a valve with a second valve seat defined by the shoulder (17b) for durchmesserverengten portion (17a) is formed with two flow paths by means of the cooperating valve combination (a, b) are jointly or alternately closable, wherein - a first flow path (a) of the first radial bore (14) through the receiving bore (13) through the upper bore section (15) in said second radial bore (16) and - extending a second flow path (b) of the lower bore portion (17) through the durchmesserverengten portion (17a) through the upper bore section (15) in said second radial bore (16).
