Diversity and composition of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal communities in the cropland black soils of China

Abstract The black soil zone is a critical agricultural production region in China. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) play key role in the functioning of agricultural ecosystems, but are little known in the black soil zone. We here estimated the diversity and composition of the AMF communities from ten maize cropland soils across the black soil zone of northeast China using MiSeq sequencing. Our results showed that all sequences from the 10 soil sites were classified into 4 orders, 9 families, and 12 genera, and Glomerales was the most abundance taxa. The composition and diversity of the AMF communities was affected by soil organic C, N, P and pH.
