The development of a network game to prevent osteoporosis among adolescent females

2004
: In carrying out their research plan, the researchers used the Instruction System Design to develop a network game to prevent osteoporosis among adolescent females. First of all, demand analysis and learner analysis were adopted to explore data gathered from interviews and a questionnaire. In accordance with what was learned from that analysis, a variety of programs were set up. After that, the learner's characteristics were integrated into a system together with a software screen, interface, interaction and sound effects as a model osteoporosis prevention game. The authors solicited evaluations from professionals and users to improve the game. With this network game, not only do we provide a diversified learning environment to reinforce adolescent females' interest in and willingness to carry out health promotion behavior, but we also entertain and inform our users.
