INSTRUMENTOS DE ANÁLISE DA GESTÃO DE ÁREAS VERDES URBANAS EM ARACAJU, SERGIPE

Urban green areas comprise the set of spaces associated with vegetation with different functions within the city associated with aspects of urban sustainability. The present study aimed to analyze the legal, economic, administrative, institutional and planning instruments related to the management of green areas, with application in the municipality of Aracaju-SE, to describe the performance panorama of this management. For this, documental and qualitative analysis of secondary data obtained from official information access sites was adopted. After the detailed analysis, qualitative notes of a classificatory character were assigned to each instrument: of the nine evaluated, five were classified as “Present, but need regulations and / or improvements”; three were classified as “consolidated”; and only one was qualified as “absent”. Despite the advances observed in recent years (2013-2019), there are still legal, economic and planning instruments that need improvement in order to achieve sustainability in the management of these spaces.
