Analysis of differential proteins of floral reversion buds during different period in longan.

Proteomic approaches were used to analyze the changes of flower bud proteomes in different floral reversion periods in longan(Dimocarpus longan Lour.).Nearly 1 012 proteins were reproducibly detected in the period of floral leaf without open out(stage I),1 034 proteins were reproducibly detected in the period of floral leaf open out but not turning to green(stage Ⅱ),1 098 proteins were reproducibly detected in the period of floral leaf turning to green(stage Ⅲ).Nineteen proteins differentially expressed were detected on 2 DE gels.Among these proteins,fifteen were up-regulated and 4 were down-regulated.Eleven differential proteins were identified by both MALDI-TOF-TOF /MS and protein database searching.They were isoflavone reductase-like protein(No.1),disulfide-isomerase precursor-like protein(No.2),unknown protein of Arabidopsis thaliana(No.3),abscisic stress ripening-like protein(No.4),putative ATP synthase beta subunit(No.6),eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5A-2(eIF-5A-2)(eIF-4D)(No.9),DNA-binding protein MNB1B(No.10),cytosolic phosphoglycerate kinase(No.14),peroxidase(No.16 /No.17),and late embryogenesis-like protein(No.19).All of these differential proteins are closely related to floral reversion of longan in energy metabolism,transcription and translation,substance transportation and signal transduction.
