Bronchial artery interventional therapy and intravenous chemotherapy in advanced lung cancer curative effect analysis

2013
Objective To explore the best treatment method through analyzing short-term curative effect of bronchial artery interventional therapy and intravenous chemotherapy in advanced lung cancer. Methods The data of 75 cases of advanced lung cancer were retrospectivly analyzed, among whom 42 cases received bronchial artery intervention,33 cases received intravenous chemotherapy. In patients with interventional therapy,29 cases received bronchial arterial chemotherapy and embolization,13 cases received bronchial arterial chemotherapy. The relationships between two kinds of treatment methods and the types of lung cancer and between the different intervention methods and curative effect were analyzed. Results The curative effect of bronchial artery intervention was superior to that of intravenous chemotherapy in central type,multi-blood supply, and non-small cell lung cancer (P <0.01).There was no significant difference on curative effect between bronchial artery intervention and intravenous chemotherapy in peripheral type, lack of blood supply, and small cell lung cancer (P >0.05).The therapeutic effect of bronchial arterial chemotherapy and embolization was superior to that of bronchial artery chemotherapy (P <0.05).Conclusions The therapeutic effect of bronchial artery intervention and intravenous chemotherapy is related to the types of lung cancer.According to the characteristics of lung cancer,it is believed that bronchial artery intervention is an important method of advanced lung cancer.Bronchial artery chemotherapy and embolization should be preferred if no embolism contraindication. Key words: Bronchial arterial intervention;  Venous chemotherapy;  Middle-late stage lung cancer
