Analgesic activity of Sarcostemma brevistigma

The effect of ethyl acetate extract of Sarcostemma brevistigma were investigated in rat to evaluate the analgesic activity. Acetic acid induced writhing model and hot plate methods were employed to test analgesic activity. The results indicate that the ethyl acetate extract produced significant analgesic activity with respect to control.
