The description of the energy spectrum of nuclei in the adiabatic approach

2003
Abstract A hyperspherical adiabatic approach (HAA) has been suggested to find the energy spectrum of cluster atomic nuclei modelled by a spherically symmetric even–even core plus two valence nucleons in the outer shell. The HAA method is based of the use of the hyperspherical coordinates as the collective variables and of the assumption on the separability of the motion of valence nucleus nucleons into the fast motion of nucleons over the angular variables and the adiabatic (slow) motion of nucleons along the hyperradius. Theoretical calculations of the energy spectrum of exited states of the 64Zn, 74Se nuclei performed within the framework on an adiabatic approach agree with available experimental data.
