Curative Observation on Treating 43 Cases of Traumatic Fracture by Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine

Objective: To observe clinical effects of surgery combined with herbs for internal and external use in treating traumatic fracture.Method: Eighty-six patients were randomized into two groups.Control group received conventional western medicine including fixation with steel plate,changing dressing,traction and others,observation group were also administered with herbs for internal and external use.Follow-ups were performed for six months.Curative effects,callus formation time,repairing effect of soft tissue and healing time were observed.Result: Average callus formation time,repairing time of soft tissue and healing time of observation group were shorter than that of control group,comparison of both groups showed difference and the difference had statistical meaning(P0.05).Conclusion: Conventional western medicine and herb in the treatment for traumatic fracture can accelerate the repair of traumatic soft tissue and promote the formation of callus.
